“Do something that scares the shit out of you.”
I had never been on video publicly online.
I knew that someday I’d have to cross over this barrier, which was a major area of fear for me.
As I listened to Jonathan and Mike talk about leaning into the things that scare you, I couldn’t help but to feel convicted and compelled to respond to the challenge.
So what did I do?
Story Continued in a bit… read on!
The Artist’s Flight Formula – Update!
Speaking of doing things that scare you, thanks to your overwhelmingly positive response about The Artist’s Flight Formula, I decided to move forward and finish up the development of this comprehensive flight plan.
I am ready to pour my 17 years worth of entrepreneurial, business, marketing, artistic and self development experience and content into this. Into YOU actually!
The good news is that I’m pretty close to completion, and I’ve decided to invite a handful of folks into the very first Private Flight Group, a mastermind group that will be navigating through the Artist’s Flight Formula together as a TRIBE.
Imagine a closely knit group of entrepreneurs and artists that gathered together in a collaborative spirit for brainstorming, accountability, encouragement, motivation, excitement and more, with a common mission to fly together, to come alive in their art and businesses and earn a full time income doing what they love.
Jail break time — we’ll be setting those hearts free and releasing your strength to the world with massive impact and ripples.
I’m pulling together a few of the last minute details and surprises, and plan to announce everything to you early next week.
So stay tuned for all of that excitement!
(I’m not good with secrets and just had to share one surprise early — part of the flight adventure we’ll be embarking on will be a live event business building workshop hosted right here in my hometown of Asheville, NC possibly just in time for the fall foliage! Woohoo! I can’t wait to hang out with some of you)
The Raw Truth About Entrepreneurship
So immediately after watching that first episode, I connected with Mike online, and told him how he challenged me, and that I’d like to be on the show.
I suggested Failure as the topic since I knew it would be timely with recent conversations here at TRIBE.LY.
He said YES!
The only thing standing between my fear and I at this point was time.
Mike asked if I’d like to be on for the show this coming Wednesday or the following Wednesday. Uh… let’s go with the following Wednesday!
So I had 2 weeks to nervously prepare myself, gather some notes on the topic, and just do it.
I stepped beyond just facing my fear.
Instead of just putting myself out there on video, which can be rehearsed, filtered, edited, reshot, etc. I took it much further than that. In order to truly scare the shit out of myself it would have to be LIVE VIDEO… of course!
Here is the playback from yesterday’s live episode!
Tell me what you think.
(REMEMBER – my first time EVER on public video online… can’t be that bad right?)
